Help IIF Advance Research on Recovery and Quality of Life
Impact Innovation Foundation’s commitment to research is deeply connected to the health journey of its CEO, Dr. Diane Tucker. Following brain surgery in 2005, she experienced severe nerve pain, intracranial hypertension involving excess fluid pressure around the brain, seizure-like shaking, autoimmune issues, and additional health challenges.
Living with these challenges for more than two decades has made the need for meaningful research personal. Her experience informs IIF’s commitment to studying recovery, daily functioning, and quality of life, with findings that help people make informed decisions about their well-being.

A Personal Journey Behind the Work
The effects of a major health event can continue long after surgery and recovery appointments end. For Dr. Tucker, ongoing health challenges have affected physical comfort, energy, and the ability to move through daily life.
Her journey brings attention to questions that matter to people living with persistent symptoms. What helps improve rest? Which practices support recovery? How does the living environment affect comfort and functioning? How can research provide useful information for people whose health challenges continue over many years?
These questions help shape IIF’s research priorities. Through its partnerships, IIF is developing projects that examine measurable outcomes and translate findings into accessible education.

Ways to Give
Individuals, organizations, and corporations can support the work through a one-time contribution or recurring giving. Foundations, businesses, and other partners can support defined studies, equipment, educational programs, and community participation. IIF also welcomes inquiries about fundraising partnerships and contributions of relevant professional expertise.

Our Research Projects
Contributions help develop studies that examine outcomes such as sleep quality, stress, fatigue, physical comfort, and daily functioning. Funding supports qualified research personnel, study coordination, participant recruitment, and analysis.
Peak Performance Institute in Newton, MA
Performance Living in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. This project examines how living environments, wellness practices, agriculture, sustainable infrastructure, and community connection influence quality of life.
Research priorities include lighting, air quality, sleep, stress, physical comfort, and access to shared resources. As the project develops, findings will help inform educational programs and the planning of future communities.
Peak Performance Living in Bridgewater, MA
IIF is developing the Peak Performance Research and Education Initiative with Peak Performance Institute in Newton, Massachusetts. The project examines how selected recovery practices and performance technologies relate to stress, sleep, focus, physical recovery, and overall well-being.
Planned studies combine participant experiences with appropriate biological and performance measurements. The goal is to build reliable knowledge that supports public education, practitioner understanding, and informed decisions.

Help Move the Research Forward
Dr. Tucker’s health journey reflects the lasting impact that serious health challenges can have on everyday life. Through these research projects, IIF is working with its partners to build knowledge that helps people better understand recovery, well-being, and the environments in which they live.
Support this work by contributing to an IIF research project or contacting the Foundation about a funding partnership. Each contribution helps provide the people, tools, and educational resources needed to move approved research forward.
